So I have to ask... How much of this project uses AI art? I've barely launched the game for the first time and it was painfully obvious that the entire intro uses AI generated images. Is there an effort to replace the AI images? Are they essentially placeholders or are they permanent? It looks like you've put in a lot of effort into the game otherwise and I'm enjoying it, but the AI images are very off-putting.
As of right now the intro, battle backgrounds, and a few of the dialogue backgrounds are AI. I am making an effort, albeit a very slow one, to replace these images, they are all placeholders and will all be removed eventually. I'm sorry I can't give a concrete timeline for when they'll be replaced, it's a bit difficult to find the time to get art to replace them while trying to continue to build new content for the game, but it is something I'm working on for sure.
Ah, I see! No worries about a concrete timeline, knowing that you're wanting to replace them is good enough for me. I want to reiterate that I am REALLY enjoying the game otherwise and that I think it's very well put together, the AI stuff has been my only substantial concern so far. Best of luck on the new content and other things going into this project!
Made an account just to say how much I enjoyed the game! It looks professional and the combat and dungeon crawling, while simple, feels good and not tacked on as it does in so many games like this. Keep up the great work!
I did have one issue though, after doing Sigrun's quests I couldn't recruit the wolf from my camp. Maybe I was doing something wrong but it did suck losing my furry friend.
Hey there! Glad you're liking the game so far, and thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'll look into it and see if I can fix whatever is causing the issue by the next update.
Honestly loving this so much and can't wait to see more of it in the future. Art is incredible but I actually think the story is fun and interesting too.
Hey i have got to say I am loving the game so far played all of 0.1.3.1.. The characters seem Intruiging especially Sigrun and Fio (Hoping they get more development).
I have a couple of questions tho, How frequent and how large will following updates be? and how many characters do you plan on adding, and do you plan on adding Sex scenes with enemies NPC's. And will you plan on adding stats like ToA? like anal and oral skills.
Being a one man dev is hard so dont feel pressured into adding too much per update.
Hi there, happy to see you're liking the game so far!
At the moment I've been able to get updates out roughly every 5 weeks or so. I've been trying to stagger updates in a Feature update (so things like battle system/UI changes) and then releasing a content update. Content updates typically contain extensions for 1 or 2 quest lines, a couple new dungeons/items, as well as a few pieces of art to go along with it.
Right now I've got roughly 20 characters planned (some of them are companions, others are merchants/general side characters), each of them will have their own side stories/quests to go along with the role they play in the main story. Enemy NPC's will be getting their own sex scenes as well (Primarily in the form of post-combat scenes).
As far as stats like ToA, probably not to the same extent as ToA. I've been thinking about ways to implement those kind of stats but I haven't set my mind on anything specific yet, like you said being a one man dev is hard so I'm trying to be as methodical as possible in my approach to make this the best it can be.
Unfortunately this is a bit outside of my capabilities at the moment, there's a lot of things I'd want to do to make a good android port (Working touch controls, UI changes to fit smaller screens, etc.) which I just simply don't have the time to focus on both a PC and a mobile version right now, once the game is more complete I will definitely be looking into getting an android version done.
this a great game really well made it is missing somethings but i have some questions like are you planing to add art to the enemies or adding different customnziable clothes for the protagonist like the way tales of androgony did it. i know i am demanding too much
Customizable clothing is probably out of the question, at least for the foreseeable future (things might change if the game has a huge spike in popularity though). Enemies will definitely be getting art added as well as their own victory/defeat scenes it'll just take some time as not being an artist myself means I have to commission artists who are already quite busy most of the time, but it will get done, eventually™.
That's a awesome game, with a great idea and potential, and a cool game with an amazing art and a good lore, and I can't wait to sse the development ahead.
Very cool game you got here dude, the art is amazing, the lore is pretty good, the mechanics are entertaining and simple to grasp and the game overall is looking prettier and prettier as time passes.
The only fault i really see in the game is the dialogue and the change of tone that it sometimes has, like meeting amber for example, i know it's important for her character and her background, but changing the tone from "Hot Forest Witch" to "Parents losing their children over them getting horrifically killed in the forest" is a little too much, maybe you could save that dialogue for her later on when you get to know her more.
Overall the game is pretty great and i like how it's developing so far, also, question, if it's not too much to ask, are you perhaps Sulcate, or are you commissioning him, is he working with you on the game or do you have him chained up in your basement?, anyways good luck with development and keep up the good work
Hi there, glad to see you're enjoying the game so far. I was kinda worried the tone shift might be too abrupt at times. The Amber scene in particular was one I was concerned about but I felt it was important to leave in to convey that the world in this story is a rather grim one but despite this people will still try to do good, as well as establish some of Amber's motivations.
With Amber's character in general the tone shifts are actually supposed to be part of her personality, the idea being that she's constantly switching between thoughts and will often have rather dramatic shifts in tone during a conversation.
As for your question, no I am not Sulcate but I am commissioning Sulcate for this project, definitely no chains or basements involved.

The art in this is fantastic. I'm stuck in the last dungeon tho.
New update when????
When you are going to release an android version?
